Palin and Alaska Separatism,

I am surprised that there is no section discussing Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin's decades-long support of Alaskan Independence and separation from the United States. As Mayor of Wasilla she regularly attended the Alaska Separatist movement's gatherings and as Governor she directly addressed the group and congratulated them on their important good work (trying to seperate Alaska from the United States). I will leave aside for the moment that an elected official advocating secession from the United States is guilty of Treason......her support for this un-American and patently unpatriotic position deserves mention. --Scottie1492 (talk) 23:00, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Do you have some reliable sources you can quote to support the assertion? Kelly hi! 23:02, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Egypt

Because of the uprisings in Egypt, she has an opinion on that, too. Should that go in? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.228.227.12 (talk) 07:36, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Which doesn't belong?

1.8 Legal system
1.8.1 Judicial appointments
1.8.2 Jury rights
1.8.3 Birth status of Barack Obama

Pick right and I'll give you a cookie ;-) TETalk 04:50, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Fixed it by creating a separate section for it. 80.101.119.181 (talk) 20:08, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

Lead

Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section: "The lead should be able to stand alone as a concise overview. It should define the topic, establish context, explain why the topic is notable, and summarize the most important points—including any prominent controversies." I am adding a tag to highlight this fact and encourage others to write a suitable lead. Cwobeel (talk) 21:10, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Palin gets LOST

Is her support of United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea notable, given that most of the rest of her party is against it?

I'd say Palin's political position on this topic is notable, to the extent that she no longer holds an elected office; I don't think it warrants its own article section. Her difference with many in her party isn't as notable to this article, but may be worthy of simple mention. The "NATO, Russia, Georgia, and Ukraine" section, possibly renamed, appears to be an appropriate place for a sentence or two about her LOST position. Other sources may help as well, such as http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/06/the-rise-of-un-derangement-syndrome/258454/. —ADavidB 22:34, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
