Tom Hanks projects vs. Playtone projects[edit]

I added a factual accuracy template with the following hidden comment beneath it:

"/* Selected productions */ Playtone was established in 1996 according to the opening paragraph. The unsourced list below includes Tom Hanks projects before that year; plus, Tom Hanks projects do not necessarily involve Playtone & vice versa."

Sorry all I can do is point this out! Thanks for your help, --Geekdiva (talk) 06:15, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is a comprehensive list on Playtone at IMDb which shows a history as a production company only back to 2000, and as a miscellaneous company to That Thing You Do in 1996. I've taken out the projects mentioned prior to 1996, but there is still work to actually bring the complete project list up to date. Neolux (talk) 21:40, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Correct Company Name[edit]

If you look at their official website and references in That Thing You Do it is actually Play-Tone not Playtone. Would anyone have objections to me moving the article to its correct spelling? TheGoofyGolfer (talk) 13:53, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, that's not longer how the name is done. 2600:1700:C960:2270:F15E:C507:2437:86F7 (talk) 09:45, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

American Gods[edit]

According to Neil Gaiman's Journal, Playtone are no longer involved with adapting his book.
