Fair use rationale for Image:PanelDePonDS.jpg[edit]

Image:PanelDePonDS.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:58, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Though, I just removed this particular image from the article because it does not appear to serve any useful purpose in the article. The box art for Panel de Pon DS is not important to the American release. An image showing actual gameplay would be more useful. — KieferSkunk (talk) — 17:59, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As a note, this article is currently intended to serve all regional adaptations of the game, as there does not seem to be enough differences between them to justify separate articles. It's also worth keeping in mind that while the audience is taken into consideration (which is not just Americans, but English-language users in general), articles should maintain a worldwide view. That said, I don't exactly oppose the removal of the image, as I appreciate the restriction of non-essential fair use content against my other impulses. Dancter 19:11, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(nod) The main reason I pulled the PdPDS image is because it didn't appear to really have a place in this article. Its box art is almost identical to that of Planet Puzzle League, with the only major differences being the title and the Japanese text. Otherwise, there isn't anything to distinguish it from the American or European box art. If there were more of a significant difference in box art design, I'd argue for keeping it to show how it was different. (For an example of where this would be appropriate, compare the box art for the Japanese and American releases of We Love Katamari, where the designs are completely different.) — KieferSkunk (talk) — 19:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Japan[edit]

Hey does anyone know is the Japanese version stark like the US one? Or does it feature Lip the fairy like the original Panel de Pon? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.118.216.61 (talk) 13:28, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, but a Japan-only skin featuring Lip and her background is featured. - A Link to the Past (talk) 18:35, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
