Untitled[edit]

Cleaned it up a bit so that it reads less like a bio on a concert programme. More work can be done. Bart 10:10, 13 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I realize this is quite random, bit Wispelwey is a phenomenal artist! Do listen to his recording of Chopan's Waltzes - they are gorgeous! Gautam Discuss 08:04, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What a crappy article - "This was not always so" - oh horrors!? Not always so? Fiends! Unregistered reader, Japan, 12 Dec 2009

Enfant terrible?[edit]

Why does it matter if he was considered an enfant terrible by some? Also, what does that have to do with being typecast as a Baroque cellist? Stara729 (talk) 02:29, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to Australian Broadcasting Corporation[edit]

Under "Personal Life" the article gratuitously claims that "In 2017 the Australian Broadcasting Corporation keeps saying he is an Australian performer.". This statement should be removed for the following reasons: 1. It has nothing to do with Mr Wispelwey's personal life. 2. It is unsubstantiated and unreferenced. 3. I have searched for "Wispelwey" under the ABC's website (abc.net.au) and find he is consistently referred to as Dutch. I could find no reference to claims that he is Australian.

I have no idea which author included this silly, dubious claim but it doesn't belong in Wikipedia. It's the sort of wild claim I would expect to see perhaps in something like a Murdoch publication but not in Wikipedia.
