Blurred Face?[edit]

As far as I can see, the face is blurred in that image in the article because it is a cropped version of this image which, in turn, was extracted from this Philippine Information Agency (PIA) web page, and the PIA blurred the face there. I wondered about the copyright status of the image. I am no expert but, as I understand it, Section 176.1 of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines says that it is free of copyright for noncommercial use. id, wala kasing pirma. Kahit sabihin ng gobyerno na isumbong ang ayaw tumanggap ng Natl.ID at paparusahan. Mahalaga pa rin ang may pirm.
