Date of Birth[edit]

There is conflicting evidence on the web concerning Sarstedt's date of birth. The most likely birth year appears to be 1941 (rather than 1942, as is presently stated on Wikipedia). Also either 10 December or 12 December is quoted elsewhere as the day and month. Is anyone able to get a firmer fix on these details ? Thank you,

None too sympathetic?[edit]

Is the song really a "none too sympathetic" look at the jet-setting girl? I find this totally at odds with my feelings about the song, subjective as they may be.

Morning Mountain[edit]

Does anybody know if Morning Mountain (B-side of the original Where Do You Go To My Lovely single) is available in a digital format, ie NOT vinyl? Anglo-Indian[edit]

My question is, why does it refer to him as being Anglo-Indian since both parents were English. I know he was born there and went to school, but still, it wouldnt make him an Indian. Norum 23:41, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Anita Atke[edit]

Tne Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)? article has this:

"In 2009, Sarstedt spoke to a gossip columnist for the Daily Express. He admitted he had lied about the song being about a socialite who died in a fire. He said that the song was about his girlfriend at the time, who he later married and then divorced. According to Mark Steyn, "Anita is now a dentist in Copenhagen.
