Wine auction[edit]

Not worthy of mention in the main article, but passing researchers might like to know of an auction, by Messrs. Christie, Manson & Woods, on 15 December 1886, “Of The Cellar Of Wines of The Hon P. J. Locke-King, Deceased: Comprising About 350 Dozens, including choice old Pale, Amontillado, Solera, Oloroso, and Brown Sherry; Port of the vintages of 1846 and 1870; Claret; Sauterne, Sparkling Hock and Moselle, &c”.
