copyright violation[edit]

Thanks for picking this up - specifically I have sourced the info on this page by cutting and pasting from the Diocese of Northampton article, where it wasn't really appropriate, though I did wonder about the original source of the text. If this bio needs to go, should manual intervention be used to return a filleted (and presumably copyright sound) version to Diocese of Northampton?

second attempt[edit]

OK. Many thanks for pulling up the previous version - interesting that the text survived OK when it was in Bishop of Northampton but not in a spearate article, so maybe we need better scanning bots? And I should have been a bit more awake to spot it the first time.

Although this bishop seems to have only one official biography (which appears on multiple webpages - perhaps this suggests that he's not really significant enough for his own article?) I have tried to source information from a number of different reliable sources. But if it's due for speedy deletion, so be it!

Cheers

'eleventh'; 'appointed'[edit]

I have in my possession a copy of the order of service for his episcopal ordination. According to that, he is the twelfth Bishop of Northampton (all eleven others are named) since the restoration of the hierarchy in 1850, not the eleventh. Also, he was not appointed on 28th June 2005 - that was the date of the episcopal ordination. If he was appointed on any date at all, it was on 24th May 2005, since that is the date of his Apostolic Mandate. I propose to make the necessary changes in a few days if there are no objections.
