Anyone have a source for the Bill Berry attribution? I've heard the band claim this in various live recordings (of somewhat questionable legality), but can't find a legit source. I also recall hearing Stipe say something about this during a radio interview back when Up was released, but wouldn't be able to cite it from memory. Can anyone help? I found a source that at least attributes the song to Berry. A better source that backs up the whole sentence would be much appreciated if anyone has one. Sbacle (talk) 23:11, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There may be some "backwards" reverb on the pianos...but no way are they "backwards" generally. If they were, the attack and decay would be reversed; i.e., the sound would come from a lower-volume up to a sudden, ending peak. I think the writer misremembered something here - until a source can be found, that reference should go. 2fs (talk) 03:28, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
