May have been introduced earlier[edit]

Without reading the story itself to see if she's named, which I don't believe she is, is looks as if Peggy Carter might have been introduced, unnamed, as Agent 13 in Tales of Suspense #64, a flashback story retelling a story from the Golden Age Captain America Comics #1. Worth checking out to possibly add to the article: http://www.comics.org/issue/19109/#142977 --Tenebrae (talk) 20:42, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The character only goes by the codename Agent 13, which is the alias used by Sharon Carter. This website believes it is actually Golden Girl and that Stan Lee just liked the name Agent 13.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:22, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure how much stock I'd put in an anonymous site called Supermegamonkey.com. For one thing, it keeps referring to her as an FBI agent, whereas in the dialog she says she's with the Women's Army Corps (WAC). But at the same time, while I'd lean toward the GCD editors' interpretation, I'd like to see some really solid second source saying she's Peggy Carter before I myself would go with it. --Tenebrae (talk) 22:37, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The equally anonymous An International Catalogue of Superheroes does make a case for this being Betsy Ross / Golden Girl, specifying that Ross was with the WACs: http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/g/goldengirl.htm. --Tenebrae (talk) 22:42, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I read the issue, she is in the WAC but is working with the FBI on this case. The Marvel wiki also says its Ross but that again isn't reliable. It just adds to the overall uncertainty.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 22:47, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sooo....I am guessing still uncertain and unresolved??? Jhenderson 777 23:10, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like it to me. I think the way we currently have it seems the safest and most well-documented way at the moment. --Tenebrae (talk) 19:03, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Supposed "fact" connecting Peggy Carter and Sungirl???[edit]

The Marvel Cinematic Universe wiki is stating that, "The character of Betty Carver took her name from Betty 'Betsy' Ross, a Golden Age character that heavily influenced the character of Peggy Carter."

I can't find anything, anywhere online to back that up. Has anyone else ever heard this before? Thanks in advance.

BTW: I know the wiki is not a reliable source, and I'm not looking to add the info here, I'm just curious if anyone has heard that before from a source that is reliable. Thanks in advance.Cebr1979 (talk) 17:30, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about that but the above discussion is reference to the ambiguity between Peggy Carter and Betsy Ross as they have both used the codename Agent 13. Maybe that might have some relevance here.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:38, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
