Can a cartoon be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize? Camillofan 18:02, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, it cannot be, though it could be referenced in a nomination for an individual or organization. The New York Times obituary for Harman (see link in article) says that he was nominated on the basis of the cartoon (which it incorrectly labels a "feature"), but this appears to be an urban legend and official Nobel sources do not support it. Great cartoon! I remember watching it on Cartoon Network or Children's Channel when I was young. I think war broke out between the vegetarians and the meat-eaters in the end... =S 惑乱 分からん 14:10, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting the film was made at the begining of the Second World War. I also remember a 1955 remake.74.36.193.253 21:27, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When was it made and released? Was it before the start of the WW2 or after? What was the inspiration for the director? 89.222.152.58 (talk) 11:35, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
