Lack of History and Information[edit]

I'm from this area and grew up about a mile away from Paxton, Indiana. This is not the only town in this county (Sullivan County) that is nearly extinct and growing up we would often research the history of these towns in school. However we never even touched on Paxton, Indiana. The library has no recorded history of Paxton, Indiana and the only items of historical or informational significance that I have ever found over the years were year books from one man I knew who graduated from the high school that used to exist there (which was tore down in the 50s). However, he has long since died and those year books have been lost in the shuffle. As a result I don't believe it's possible for this article to be expanded anymore. I'm not sure if wikipedia has a tag or a policy for something like this, but I thought I would bring it up that I have tried to gather information to add to this article and there is simply just none to be had. I just added all the cemeteries that are listed on Findagrave.com for Paxton Indiana. You should go to the Merom Carnegie Libaray for information on Paxton indiana. There are several people with information and documentation on the history of Paxton. I hope to see more people adding facts and the history of Paxton in the near future.
