Paul Matthen was a huge international performer, and I'm trying to make him an entry.

Paul Matthen was an internationally known performer and recording artist. Not sure why this would be considered insignificant. Please allow me to continue with this entry! Please let me know if you need further citations.

@Kmatthen: If so, your sources do not prove he was notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion template though. Dat GuyTalkContribs 16:42, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@DatGuy I'm sorry, I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to delete the template.

I will include more sources, but I've not been allowed to yet. What more do I need to include sourcewise? I see he already meets the definition of "notable" via criteria #5 and #6 -

  1. 5 Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable).

He recorded with RCA Victor Red Seal and the Robert Shaw Chorale - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EGPetKG7eM http://www.discogs.com/artist/2413053-Paul-Matthen

He has a major citation in this book, among others: https://books.google.com/books?id=ayT5T59ckzIC&pg=PA65&lpg=PA65&dq=%22paul+matthen%22&source=bl&ots=VNNH7Bw4ik&sig=QWLD_ILSFkKxIw9GMoc5Hh9gaJ8&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjd4oGD8b3KAhWCbiYKHanzABA4ChDoAQgiMAM#v=onepage&q=%22paul%20matthen%22&f=false

  1. 6 Is an ensemble that contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a reasonably prominent member of two or more independently notable ensembles.[note 5] This should be adapted appropriately for musical genre; for example, having performed two lead roles at major opera houses.Kmatthen (talk) 16:56, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@DatGuy A mere google image search turns up a multitude of his albums - https://www.google.com/search?q=%22paul+matthen%22&sa=N&rlz=1C1NNVC_enUS477US479&biw=1292&bih=701&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&ved=0ahUKEwjlhc628r3KAhXC4iYKHXI5D5Q4FBCwBAga

Here's the library record for one of his albums, it's in libraries all over the world:http://www.worldcat.org/title/passion-according-to-st-john/oclc/3867712

@Kmatthen: That seems enough for me. Tagged appropiately. Dat GuyTalkContribs 17:04, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@DatGuy Thank you!! For being so speedy. :-) Kmatthen (talk) 17:21, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... I'm not finished editing it or writing it yet. Plus I linked directly to a page where I got this information. Kmatthen (talk) 17:23, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Kmatthen (talk) 17:49, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Kmatthen: Hello, unfortunately copyrighted material is not allowed to be in an article, even if you plan to rewrite it. Better to do so offline and then paste in your edits rather than pasting in the copyrighted stuff and then editing it. I know you're getting off to a rough start on this article, so please feel free to ping me on my talk page if I can be of any assistance. CrowCaw 18:40, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
