Contested deletion[edit]

At the risk of running afoul of yet further Wikipedians, what do I need to provide to indicate notability? Panopticon has been widely praised by the metal community, but I'm not sure what additional support I need to provide other than the linked articles. There is certainly more coverage of the project out there, but I'm trying to understand what is sought by those nominating for deletion. --worldDownInFire (talk) 19:46, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The two references here (one of which being an entirely unsuitable blog) don't indicate notability, nor does the article have a credible claim of significance. You may find this information useful. Question - are you related to the band in any way? -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 19:49, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have met Austin at his brewery and listen to the music but we are not otherwise connected. What makes Decibel_(magazine) an unsuitable source? If they have their own page about music coverage, how could they they not be a suitable source of music information? I will review the provided link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WorldDownInFire (talkcontribs) 19:58, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The Decibel (magazine) reference isn't from the magazine, it's from a blog and is unlikely to be considered a reliable source. -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 20:02, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's from Decibel Magazine's own blog. I'm not trying to be difficult, but how is that different? I can't link to a print copy of the magazine. worldDownInFire (talk) 20:04, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Would not this exception apply? worldDownInFire (talk) 20:07, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Possibly. Based on this discussion and the Decibel interview I have declined the speedy deletion. I'm not convinced that the article makes credible claim of significance, but I think there's enough there to give it some time and further input. @WorldDownInFire: do you know of any other coverage of the band?--Mojo Hand (talk) 21:42, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, let me round up some other sources and get it updated in the next few days, if that's OK worldDownInFire (talk) 21:55, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Should I link additional sources here, or in the article as 'ref's? worldDownInFire (talk) 21:59, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Mojo Hand: some sources provided below. Please let me know if I'm getting warmer.
Definitely - I think I'm sold. I'll help the getting these into the article.--Mojo Hand (talk) 00:32, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for facts about The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness[edit]

In the paragraph about The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness, there are facts about the album, namely "the third song is directed to Windir's Valfar" and "inspired by the writings of environmentalist Sigurd Olson", that we can find on the bandcamp webpage of the album [5].

Is that ok to use a Bandcamp page as a source ? If so, is that useful to give sources for the statements I mentioned ?

Thanks in advance ! ToxicBoombox (talk) 08:50, 29 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
