Permeability
When listing the various types of paint, I'd like to see reference to their permeability (eg by water vapour) and breathability, perhaps in a table containing details of other qualities too. FreeFlow99 (talk) 18:20, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Alphabetize?
Would it be beneficial if I were to rearrange the Product Variants section in alphabetical order? (This including both paint variants and finish types) Abi Hedtke (talk) 01:22, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Uses of paint
I would like to see a section that relates to the reasons for painting. The article appears to refer to paint mainly from an artisic perspective. As a trades person, (painter and signwriter), I learned that paint is applied for 3 reasons. Protection, Identification, (sometimes referred to as information) and decoration. - I would like to add a section underneath Art, to try and address these different uses of paint. This may include listing the reasons for using paint (maintenance, providing protection, improving durability, etc.), and listing common uses of different paint types. I have two basic sources currently, and am looking for more (Paint Types in Construction, and Basic Paint Decorating). Abi Hedtke (talk) 02:59, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- I've got a draft of a Protection section in my sandbox, and I'm wondering if it would be beneficial to put both this, along with the currently existing Art section underneath a Uses section? Or if the Protection section should be listed on its own. Abi Hedtke (talk) 23:59, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

- MrOllie, thank you for the feedback! I'll try and look into different sources for that content. I did have a question on a few of the reversions though. Just for future reference, Is there anything specific about these sources that make them unreliable? (acs - kem-tone paint && coatingsworld - low voc paint) I had assumed that ACS and Coatings World would be considered reputable sources. All the best! Abi Hedtke (talk) 05:22, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
