Propose change of "×n" lane specifier to "xn"

I noticed that the page uses the × (multiply) symbol for all lane specifications (e.g. ×16) I propose changing these to a simple letter 'x' (×16 => x16) The PCIe specs I've read use the letter and not a multiplier symbol. Since this would be a major change to the page I thought I would bring it here first. The main reason I bring this up was in searching for "x2" (letter-x 2) yields no results in the page since it doesn't exist but ×2 (multiply symbol 2) does exist. Secondly I've reviewed several documents that refer to PCIe and lane widths along with searching online and I have yet to find a case (other than this page) that utilizes this character for lane references. Agree with this change. (If it weren't for your talk section, I would have created my own in fact.) × instead of x seems hypercorrect to me and I see no reason to keep it. GarethPW (talk) 13:30, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
