Spoken dialogues in Ottone?[edit]

Just listened to a recording of Ottone (presumably the one with Aris Christofellis since there's a male soprano in the cast but it's a bunch of YouTube videos and the uploader didn't give any information about the recording, but that has no relevance to my question). My question: I can hear some spoken dialogue in this recording. Not a lot. There's mostly sung recitatives and a little bit of spoken dialogue. Does the score of Ottone really have spoken dialogue? What's going on? Not very usual for an Italian opera do have any spoken dialogue, is it? Contact Basemetal here 17:47, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
