Command[edit]

We need to change the current chain of command to reflect the agreement of the Canadian to take command of NATO Forces in this mission. See main article dicussion of the Libya Conflict. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.49.140.94 (talk) 16:34, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Libyan navy[edit]

Doesn't Gadaffi have any ships? Also, and though it's a bit WP:FORUM, who the hell thought up this crummy name? Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 03:48, 24 March 2011 (UTC) Edit: Wait, he does if I remember correctly, but I am too lazy to find the sources. he has a few, but he's not allowed to go anywhere in them! Another question - If this operation is a naval blockade to prevent any arms being delivered - who is preventing them coming over the land borders, which are 3-4 times longer than the Libyan coastline? Is that (to be) another military operation, or part of this one? Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 14:24, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

HMS Cumberland[edit]

I have removed the {{dubious}} tag and added another reference. MOD confirms that Cumberland is part of United Protector, not Ellamy. ShipFan (talk) 04:23, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

US participation[edit]

The US just have 1 frigate in this operation i heard they where still spending 4 million dollars a day participating in the Libying intervention with 50 planes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.21.210.12 (talk) 10:43, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if this logo is protected by copyright law, because it is from NATO, and I am unfamiliar with fair use law. Would it be OK to add in this logo? I received it through the NATO media updates. http://www.nato.int/nato_static/assets/pictures/stock_2011/20110415_110415-logo-unified-protector.jpg I believe that it would enhance educational value.
