Height?[edit]

I've heard too that the Sheraton Wall Centre is the tallest building in Vancouver, but according to who officially? As far as I can tell, according to emporis.com, the Harbour Centre is the tallest building in Vancouver? Luke 22:33, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the downtown Vancouver skyline it's clear that the Wall Centre is the highest building in Vancouver (i.e. its apex reaches a higher altitude than any other building) but that's because the land on which it's built already has a high elevation. Measuring the height of the actual building, from the ground to its apex, Harbour Centre is taller. --Mathew5000 12:19, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rumour about Peter Wall's dispute with Vancouver city council[edit]

I actually own a condo in this tower. The "rumour" matches my understanding of the history of the glass, although I can't specifically attest that he threatened to kill the project.

Not sure how to update facts...[edit]

Fact - Actually the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel is the second largest hotel in Western Canada. There are several hotels larges in Ontario and Quebec - The Fairmont Royal York, The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and the Delta Chelsea to name a few.

Also just to clarify, the Habour Centre Tower is now the second tallest building, the tallest is the Shaw tower. However, between its height, and the fact that it is on the highest point above sea level of any building in downtown Vancouver, the Sheraton is at the highest level.
