onGamers now dead?[edit]

While the site http://www.ongamers.com/ currently exists, coverage on games other than League of Legends has entirely stopped since last year. The new posts are all reposts from the GameSpot League of Legends section at http://www.gamespot.com/league-of-legends/.

Meanwhile, the official YouTube and Twitter no longer mention onGamers, but instead mention G|League, a sub-division of GameSpot (a company owned by the same company as onGamers).

https://www.youtube.com/user/onGamrs https://twitter.com/GameSpotLoL (you can verify that this was the onGamers account by looking at the tweet mentioned in this article http://www.dailydot.com/esports/ongamers-reddit-ban-kim-rom-slasher/, which was from the official onGamers Twitter now coming from G|League).

I think it's safe to say that onGamers no longer exists independently, and the site simply exists to facilitate reposts from GameSpot. While there may be no official annoucement, the signs all point to it being canned, likely due to the reddit incident.

arivie, it does look like onGamers is dead, but we can't affirmatively acknowledge that until either an official announcement is made, or the website literally dies. DARTHBOTTO talkcont 05:39, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

Seeing no capacity for growth here, I'd look at merging this into a parent article such as GameSpot I am no longer watching this page—ping if you'd like a response czar 03:25, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
