I would like to gain a better understanding of notability as I've read the guidelines several times and it seems that publicly traded companies meet (and sometimes exceed) the general reuirmetns for notability.

Suggested changes to this article:
- New intro para: On Deck Capital is an American online small business lender[1] with US locations in New York City (headquarters), Arlington, Virginia, and Denver, Colorado. OnDeck determines the credit worthiness of small businesses by using public and private data, technology, and computer modeling.[3] (Same citations apply)
In History
- Remove "companies" after "VCs" in first para of History (deletes repetition)
- In 2007, the company introduced its short-term loan product and made its first loan. By early 2010, the company had made over $50M in loans to small businesses in the U.S. (Replaces jargon)
- Jacobs left OnDeck in 2012, and Noah Breslow became the company’s CEO. (Replaces jargon)
- As of August 2017, OnDeck had made over $7 billion in loans to small businesses in the US, Canada, and Australia.(Replaces jargon)

1. New intro paragraph for clarification: On Deck Capital is a US-based financial technology company specializing in online small business lending. [1] OnDeck provides capital directly to small businesses in the U.S., Canada, and Australia.
2. Update revenue to 2017 #s: $351.0 million [1]
3. In HISTORY: remove "VC Companies" and spell out "Venture Capital companies." Addresses redundancy.
4. In HISTORY: Remove 4th paragraph on Australia. Addresses marketing speak. Replace with edits to 3rd para and new 4th para, as suggested:
Jacobs left OnDeck in 2012, and Noah Breslow became the CEO. OnDeck completed its IPO in December 2014 and became listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ONDK, raising $230 million in the offering.[12] OnDeck launched a line of credit offering, and extended its term loans to up to 36 months.[citation needed] In 2015, the company expanded its operations into Canada and Australia[13], the latter operating as On Deck Capital Australia Pty Ltd in partnership with MYOB, Australia’s largest accounting software provider. In the example above there are notes connected to the statements, a number 8, 13, and 3, all placed in brackets. When looking at these numbers, it is unclear in all but one of the numbers which of the references provided link to them. As there are only 3 references provided, the note number's higher than this number are especially unclear. Your edit request similarly places numbered notes within brackets which are disbursed throughout the edit request. But it is unclear which references link to those notes.[a] These links between material and their source references must be more clearly made, as shown in the next example below:
