Tokyo Olympics[edit]

The comment at the end of the Tokyo Olympics paragraph that "if they'd maintained their time they would have beaten Canada and won the gold" is a ridiculous thing for anyone to write about an outdoor sport, and for this Wikipedia page to cite. The conditions for the final were completely different from those for earlier races so maintaining a fast time was not something any crew could count on doing. Rowing is an outdoor sport heavily influenced by wind strength/direction and water conditions and times from earlier heats are not necessarily repeated or beaten in later rounds. This comment is not helpful on a Wikipedia page and should be removed. 77.46.170.14 (talk) 12:52, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
