Additional Japanese units[edit]

In addition to the Operation Ten-Go force, there were a handful of other Japanese naval units deployed in the campaign. In particular there were squadrons of Japanese suicide boats that were deployed, engaged American naval forces and sunk a few American craft. Additionally during the beginning of the campaign a handful of Japanese transports and picket boats were caught at sea by the American force and sunk.
