Better or Additional OQPSK Diagram?[edit]

I would like to see a digram that shows transitions that do not pass through zero.Teridon 17:46, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

what you mean?? can you be more precise?? Alessio Damato 12:19, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Presumably he means constellation diagrams that show the actual state transitiions for QPSK vs. OQPSK (and perhaps vs. MSK), demonstrating that QPSK has diagonal transitions (through zero), whereas OQPSK does not. Oli Filth 18:33, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other implementations of OQPSK?[edit]

From the article:

"Note that the signals depicted here are only for a particular implementation of OQPSK. If another set of basis functions are used, or if a different pattern of constellation points are used, the waveforms would look different. In this case, any abrupt transitions pass through 0. It is possible to design OQPSK systems so that these transitions do not pass through 0. Sometimes this is preferable to improve the signal reception at the receiver."

What does this mean? What other implementations of OQPSK are there? What other basis functions may be used? What other constellation points may be used? As far as I'm aware, this is the one and only OQPSK. Oli Filth 18:33, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
