That would be like saying a Jehovah's Witness or a Mormon is a "Christian." There is no monolithic Muslim; for example, Ahmadiyya are "Muslim" while the Islamic Republic of Pakistan see them as heretic; Iranian dervishes are "Muslim" but the Islamic Republic of Iran completely marginalizes them and sees them as heretics.--2601:C4:C300:2890:8094:5EB4:CAE5:BCD2 (talk) 02:53, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In the context of this article, differences among branches of religion don't really seem to be relevant when the point is that she's the only Muslim woman ever elevated to a federal judgeship If the goal is to make a point about the conservatism of other Muslims (the views of Pakistani and Iranian Muslims, above) it seems misplaced here. This "Muslim" label is vague. Okay, the average Nazi in the 1930s didn't want to kill Jews in Germany. Most Nazis didn't want to invade Poland. Some Nazis even wanted to kill Hitler. I don't see a need to whitewash for extremist Muslims who want to take away LGBT rights, subjugate women with hijab, etc. As a U.S. federal judge, she should be expected to clearly explain her stances on civil rights and condemn extremist Muslim practices in the western and southern Asia.2601:C4:C300:2890:752F:EC96:52D1:D6A8 (talk) 13:36, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[BTW, I see that there's still a link to "Moderate Muslim" at the bottom of the article. Since there are many millions of moderate muslims, I'm not sure why that's there. :) ] WikiAlto (talk) 11:07, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
