Heavily overloaded dab page[edit]

I really think that this dab page contains far more items that it should; however, I am certain that a major revision will meet with some opposition. Therefore, I'd like to discuss ideas for improving it in order to avoid unnecessary editing activity and confrontation.

Many of the items on the page are there because the titles contain 'North' rather than 'North' being a potentially alternative title for the article. For instance, 'North Carolina', 'North America', 'Palmerston North'. I'd like to remove most if not all of these items and instead include an intstance of Template:PrefixAllPages, which provides a lookup link to the Allpages utility; the template usage would appear as
All pages with titles beginning with North
I prefer to use this template quite sparingly, but in the case of this page, I think it makes sense.
