Accomplishments[edit]

As a litigator, Norman Dorsen’s accomplishments included extending basic legal rights to juveniles and illegitimate children. Through the courts he also labored for constitutional rights for homosexuals, the indigent, prisoners, war protesters, and women, and the right to counsel.
