Machine translation, like DeepL or Google Translate, is a useful starting point for translations, but translators must revise errors as necessary and confirm that the translation is accurate, rather than simply copy-pasting machine-translated text into the English Wikipedia.
Do not translate text that appears unreliable or low-quality. If possible, verify the text with references provided in the foreign-language article.
You must provide copyright attribution in the edit summary accompanying your translation by providing an interlanguage link to the source of your translation. A model attribution edit summary is Content in this edit is translated from the existing Italian Wikipedia article at [[:it:Non è la RAI]]; see its history for attribution.
You may also add the template {{Translated|it|Non è la RAI}} to the talk page.
Hi. I have seen the template, this article needs to be translated, and I would be glad to do it. Now, I have some questions: I am not registered in Wikipedia, do I have to create my account before translating or I can do it anyway? 2) Sources are always needed in Wikipedia articles; should I take the sources from the italian one, or should I look for some english source? 3) How do you "stitch" sources in an article?
I can start right away :) (by the way, I LOVED this show as a little girl) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.43.123.47 (talk) 20:20, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
