Is it just me, or is the newest alteration nothing more than advertising?

Agreed, it reads like a press release 86.137.207.170 10:04, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Faults section.[edit]

I've tagged the faults section as lacking references. The one reference in the article points to a discussion board, which is not a reliable source, and should not be used to justify a section as large as the faults one. Personally, I think that the entire section is original research and will simply attract people who have this phone and want a place to complain about it - which is not appropriate for wikipedia. Unless reliable references are found for that section, I think it should be removed, and plan to do so. Wibbble 09:54, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And I've removed it after the latest addition. I don't think that a laundry list of perceived faults is in any way encyclopaedic - and it certainly wasn't referenced and verifiable. Wibbble 19:13, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Specification Sheet[edit]

There seems to be some errors in the spec sheet when you compare the data to the Nokia Web site. I looked at two:

Nokia Australia & New Zealand - Nokia 6280 - Phone Features

Nokia Asia - Technical specifications - Nokia 6280

Some of the discrepancies in the spec sheet are:
"GSM frequencies" - There is no mention of 850 MHz @ Nokia site
"Main Screen" - @ Nokia site, 262,144 colour display (not 256,000 as in sheet)
"Built In Memory" - @ Nokia 6MB (not 8 MB as in sheet)
"Bluetooth" - No mention of what version
"Talk time" & "Standby time" - don't match Nokia site.

I suggest that the spec sheet be changed to match the Nokia site specs, as there are no references to other data that could back up what is currently in the sheet. Ferion69 16:19, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When you see something that's not right, be bold and fix it! Wibbble 17:29, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge 6288 and 6280[edit]

Are they the same product or what? Nokia says they're identical. — 60.241.150.92 09:59, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that my 6288's camera has digital zoom. Also, the cameras have different appearances. -- Ianiceboy (talk) 05:07, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
They are different, if subtly. The 6288 is merely an updated version of the 6280 but, then again, aren't a lot phones updates on their predecessors?--Hazel77 19:28, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nokia 6280 is the same.[edit]

Nokia 6280 is the same phone as the 6288. Just a different cover, and different firmware than the 6280. Go for the merge!muffin_boy 16:22, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Black cover.[edit]

I can upload pictures of my Nokia 6288 with a black cover, if anyone is interested/if I am allowed...--YazzaMatazza 16:04, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That would be great. Make sure it's well lit, though. – 60.241.150.92 09:58, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So, you going to upload the pics? - Ronnie M. 11:44, 15 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rmeoung (talkcontribs)

Merging done[edit]

Sorry if its a bit rough, its done now, seems like a good move just needs a bit of re-wording --Nzhamstar (talk) 17:12, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Firmware Upgrade[edit]

Hi, does anyone know how to upgrade the (latest)firmware of 6280? Currently I have v 3.70. --Infestor (talk) 19:58, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Processor[edit]

This page needs to provide information about the Nokia 6280's CPU/SoC — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.226.170.47 (talk) 09:34, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
