GA Review[edit]

I made a few fixes during my review; here's what I have after that:

  • Not sure why you linked to 1986 in video gaming and 2008 in video gaming, but not in every other time you mention a year. Are these necessary links anyway?
    • I linked them because I had seen them being linked in other VG articles. But they're not necessary, so I removed them.
  • "While working at Square, he met Final Fantasy conceiver Hironobu Sakaguchi" What exactly does being a "conceiver" entail? A more specific word would be useful.
    • Changed to "creator".
  • Some unnecessary links throughout—I see 1970s and Europe as prime examples. You might want to check through and weed out some of the less useful ones, though this isn't terribly important.
    • I unlinked some unnecessary links, but I don't know if I got them all.
  • The "Square Haven" source's about page says "Take Square Enix only as seriously as its own college drunkenness and inability to graduate within four years, and the community of less-than-completely-useless Official Square Haven Vapid Buttmunches that frequent its comment threads and forums." This doesn't make me terribly confident about its reliability.
    • You're right, it's not reliable. I replaced it with another ref.
  • Why are these external links necessary?
    • I'm not sure if they're necessary in this article, but they are the official websites of Smile Please and Dog Ear Records respectively, which were created and are owned by Uematsu. Should I remove them?
      • I would say so, but it's your call. --Kakofonous (talk) 19:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
        • Removed.

Contact me on my talk when done or if you have questions. --Kakofonous (talk) 14:04, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've passed it, as the remaining concerns are merely nitpicks and have no real bearing on GA quality. --Kakofonous (talk) 19:15, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
