True summits[edit]

Nims did not summit the true summits of two of the 8000’ peaks. He retuned later and did so, but Kristin Harila already holds the fastest time of the true summits at just over a year and if successful on her current attempt will summit all 14 between 3-4 months.

If Nims didn’t reach the true summits, he didn’t set the record…and Wikipedia is wrong to say he did. 96.241.32.114 (talk) 05:38, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have sources that say this? Usedtobecool ☎️ 06:13, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Usedtobecool In fact her article states that she broke the record, making Wikipedia inconsistent at this point:
"On 27 July 2023, Harila and Tenjen Sherpa, a guide from Seven Summit Treks, established a new record summiting all 14 true geographic summits in just 92 days." Hakbijl (talk) 07:05, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You could make the edits you think are necessary, and see if someone comes to object to your changes, @Hakbijl. Wikipedia is a community project. Inconsistencies are best addressed by people who notice them. This is not a topic of my interest or expertise. I don't even remember why I put this article on my watchlist or when.
