Cast for NatM 4[edit]

As of now, this page has most of the cast returning to voice their characters from the original trilogy? What sources/evidence are there to support that? I have extensively looked and have not found anything. If anyone finds a list, feel free to add the citation. Otherwise, I think we need to remove the listings until confirmation. To whom it may concern, I went through and removed the listings of actors reprising their roles. From what I could find, Disney is wanting this to be a distinct project/soft reboot even if it is featuring many of the same characters. "Character" does not equal "actor." No reputable sources have released a cast list beyond the fan theories on the NatM wiki page. I'm not sure who was responsible for vandalizing this page in this way, but I hope it never happens again. TNstingray (talk) 22:57, 2 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I did not think I would have to continue dealing with this subject matter, but here we are. If you are coming here based on my edit summary from David Hornsby, welcome. I continue to remove this information from his page and this one because I cannot find reliable sources, and no one has been able to present sources beyond what are essentially two fan listings from Movie Web and Rotten Tomatoes. Upon further investigation, I feel that we could be dealing with a case of WP:MIRROR. Some casting information was put on the NatM wiki, which in turn must have been placed on this page, and I wonder if certain sites are using this as their cast list. I could be wrong. But for now, I say wait for Disney, a trailer, or the cast themselves to confirm anything about anyone's involvement in this animated project.

Upon contemplating the situation further, I also find it interesting that no one has added this information for Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, or Ricky Gervais. It's only this page and the one for Hornsby, arguably the two with the lowest traffic. Just an interesting note. TNstingray (talk) 20:54, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Break[edit]

Again, to whom it may concern, I have been battling the unsubstantiated casting rumors for a little while now. Hence my skepticism. The Collider source and IMDB again appear to be mirroring the fandom page (which reflected the casting BEFORE the first look announcement, and BEFORE the Collider source was published), and I have been unable to find reliable sourcing. Maybe these do end up being the cast, but it is still WP:TOOSOON to tell, as Disney is not giving us a lot for this one. As I said in my recent edit summary, please wait to add a cast list until we get the official one from Disney, one rooted in reliable sourcing (likely discussing Disney's official list), or the project is actually released.
