Expert tag[edit]

I just tagged this because even after reading it, I have no idea what it's on about. -- Roleplayer (talk) 10:15, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Understood. I'll try to expand later when I have more time with info from some text books, but it is linked to from a number of econ articles, so I thought there should really be an article. (Econotechie (talk) 19:48, 13 May 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Tone[edit]

I don't think this article fits the wikipedia standards for tone, since it uses words like "we". On a different note, the title has improper casing. AlixeTiir (talk) 19:51, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Investopedia incorrect[edit]

Investopedia is not a good source and in particular has completely wrong examples. Addictive & street drugs are very much not price or income elastic. Petry 2002 on income elasticity of street drugs; Jawad et al 2018 on price elasticity of non-cigarette tobacco (you can find hundreds on cigarettes); just any search on google scholar -- it's an extremely popular topic and always has the same result -- the elasticity is close to 1.
