"The delegation consisted of three weightlifters; Quincy Detenamo, Gerard Garabwan, and Marcus Stephen. Their best performance in any event was by Detenamo, who came 20th in the Men's 76 kg category" Might as well list the results of the third competitor as well, maybe in the form of "the best performances

"Nauru became independent from being a United Nations trust territory on 31 January 1968." I assume there was no "UN Territories" team or something of a similar grain. Not that Nauru is a medal powerhouse, but they seem to have a decent weightlifting tradition.'

    • Nope, When one competitor wanted to compete, he had to enlist the help of the Independent State of Samoa, not compete under his own flag or the UN flag.

"The flag bearer for the opening ceremony was Stephen." Closing ceremony?

    • Sadly, the official reports don't say, and they spend about 20 pages talking about the closing ceremony. Great picture of the parade, not one flag bearer listed. Other than for a couple major countries, this information seems lost to history in other sources, as well. Courcelles (talk) 05:16, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
