These are the official chart listing according to billboard.com. Hip Hop is technically uncertified because I checked RIAA database but has sold 700K so its technically Gold but hasnt been certified for it yet. The Firm album went platinum and this is confirmed by Dr. Dre, Nas and Aftermath. The source cited is the incorrect one, that is a different group called the firm, look at it closely--Sosa 01:52, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keep in mind that RIAA certification listed are for how many sales in the U.S. not worldwide. Future release[edit]

Stop removing the content from both this page and Nas' main. Every other discography includes future releases and that, so why should we have a special rule for this one saying not having future releases. And specially a discography should include ALL albums including unreleased and future releases. The Nas preview discography in the main page is for SOLO albums (studio, official albums) no matter if they have been released or are going to be released later, but unreleased albums that was never out in public should NOT be added in the main page. --West Coast - Ryda 11:50, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. I saw an album (I think it was a mixtape) A Lost Prophecy/ies in a store this morning. Where is it on the list? But every where I'm reading its saying Nas has 8 consecutive platinum albums. He has 9 albums currently. His last album went gold so doesn't that make hip hop is dead platinum? It sold over 760, 000 back in 2008. I thought maybe they meant the firm album and its being counted as the 8th platinum album but then i thought it can't be because in the same article where it states he has 8 consecutive platinum albums it also says he has 4 number 1 albums. The firm went number 1 but its not counted. That would mean he would have 5 number 1 albums. Im sure hip hop is dead must have sold over a million in the US alone recently and thats why Nas now has 8 consecutive platinum albums.

The multiplication sign (×) is correct. It stands for "times". An album is "two times platinum", not "2 ex platinum". Even the RIAA use it in their searchable database. Spellcast (talk) 02:47, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the Best of Nas (Japanese Import)[edit]

This is the center piece of my Nas album collection and although it has nothing new or rare on it, it still has the nice album cover. Its very rare now but a nice piece. Big Mark

I have this article right here that lists and cite physical youtube evidence of all the Nas collaborations and tracks he did over the years. http://www.last.fm/user/jensyao/journal/2011/05/11/4dkrl3_tracks_featuring_nas_over_the_years_%281991_to_present%29 I do not have the background skill to put these titles in the "wikipedia table format" efficiently - I just manually copy the code for a row from above, paste it below, and then alter it for the next track - which is time consuming because there's quite a bit of tracks this discography failed to mention. Nas hip hop is dead album platinum![edit]

Nas 2006 album hip hop is dead went platinum but it doesn't state so on wikipedia. It clearly states that Nas has 8 consecutive platinum albums. Here are a couple of links for proof:
