Relevance of other products?[edit]

The article lists two other products, BackupAssist and Firestreamer. They seem to be ads rather than encyclopedic, especially as one listed the price of the software. Do add-ons and front-ends really belong here? Bwagstaff (talk) 23:55, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Especially for BackupAssist, the article text was such that made it sound like the site http://ntbackup-replacement.info is a discussion/documentation page about the replacement of ntbackup which it is not. It is just the product page for BackupAssist. I proceeded to change it, but did not remove the link entirely since it may be useful to somebody. Still if someone is more bold and feels it should be taken out entirely, let him go ahead. Steloukos (talk) 12:59, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alternatives are more like ads. However, readers may find addons useful if they extend important functionality/address a major limitation (in this case Firestreamer not limiting backup to tape drives). - xpclient Talk 13:44, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

licensed from Veritas[edit]
