Fair use rationale for Image:NHS logo in Wales.gif[edit]

Image:NHS logo in Wales.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Welsh translation for NHS Wales[edit]

Although it is not explicitly stated that NHS stands for National Health Service, it is mentioned that it was established in the National Health Service Act 1946, so that most readers would make the connection. The Welsh translation for NHS Wales is given as GIG Cymru, which doesn't seem to add much to a reader's knowledge. The translation for National Health Service should be given somewhere, but should it be (Welsh: Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol Cymru (GIG Cymru)) or just (Welsh: Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol Cymru)? Thoughts please. Daicaregos (talk) 18:46, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page needs updating to correctly describe 2009 reorganisation[edit]

This page needs updating to reflect the reorganisation of NHS Wales in 2009. Before 1 October 2009 there were 22 LHBs and 7 Trusts each covering a defined region but this 'two tiered' system has been abolished. There are now 7 integrated Health Boards in Wales which are single organisations responsible for delivering all healthcare services within a geographical area. There are also 3 'all Wales' Trusts: (1) Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, (2) Velindre NHS Trust (cancer services) and (3) Public Health Wales. These are calles special NHS trusts becaure they are nationals trusts that cover the whole of Wales. 81.152.83.94 (talk) 12:03, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
