section about possible meanings of "Mr Jones"[edit]

Isn't this redundant? We know Mr Jones refers to Marty Jones. In live versions Duritz even sings "Mr Jones and me don't see each other much anymore..." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainfallshard (talkcontribs) 10:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is horrendous, eh?

New Opening Line from Across the Wire[edit]

I don't know if this should be added, but there is an extended intro

"So you wanna be a rock and roll star Well listen now to what I say Just get an electric guitar and learn how to play"

That's from the Byrds song "So You Want To Be A Rock N' Roll Star" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.131.92.21 (talk) 15:26, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Correction[edit]

The article said that "Mr. Jones" was a number one hit. Based on the Billboard website (https://www.billboard.com/music/counting-crows/chart-history/radio-songs/song/23622), the song peaked at no. 5 on the U.S. charts. I edited the article accordingly. Rate Your Music As A Source[edit]

I've used Rate Your Music as a source in the infobox. I uderstand this is a deprecated source, but it's for a genre, which I feel is acceptable. If you disagree, feel free to take it down. AugustusAudax (talk) 12:24, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
