Content dispute[edit]
The content added to Criticism is disputed. It is already discussed using neutral language and proper explanation on the History section. The editor is also asserting OWNership (see above, added at exact same time) by objecting to any attempt to remove or refactor it. ViperSnake151 Talk 01:43, 17 August 2017 (UTC)

Scam[edit]
I recently made this edit.
Before I made my edit, the article started out with:
- MoviePass, Inc. is an American subscription-based movie ticketing service
After I made my edit, the article started out with:
- MoviePass, Inc. is a scam masquerading as an American subscription-based movie ticketing service
This is the source that I cited. It uses variations of the word "scam" multiple times:

But variations of the word "scam" are used multiple times in the source, so it's not a violation of NPOV.
What do others think of this?

- There are several issues with this edit, including:
- The lead of the article should summarize the article body. The word "scam" is not used anywhere else in the article, and this cannot be overridden by citing a single source in the article lead. Moreover, the lead must appropriately weigh the viewpoints that have been published by reliable sources. To start off the article with "MoviePass is a scam" would require the vast majority of high quality sources to describe it expressly as such.
- Starting off an article with "MoviePass, Inc. is a scam masquerading as an American subscription-based movie ticketing service" is a completely inappropriate tone for an encyclopedia article. See WP:IMPARTIAL. Aoi (青い) (talk) 05:08, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
