Beer box[edit]

Feebtlas 22:27, 5 November 2005 (UTC) The beer box could be removed, as this is no longer an operational brewery.[reply]

Explain reversion[edit]

I've reverted the anon edits just now - since although there probably was some valuable data included, the incorrect formatting changes made the text unreadable. Please read up on editing Wikipedia before re-attempting these changes. Thanks, Ian Cairns 22:35, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Greene King Takeover[edit]

This page has it listed as 2000, the Greene King page has it listed as 1999, press also says 1999. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/greene-king-to-close-brewery-in-pounds-219m-takeover-of-morland-1101925.html Mr Jolly (talk) 05:38, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User:Mr Jolly I see in the source you have given that a takeover was agreed in 1999 but no mention of it having taken place. The source in the Greene King article does not say it had taken place in 1999. The source in this article does not say the deal had gone through. It looks like a new source is needed for it having been completed.06:51, 28 May 2019 (UTC)SovalValtos (talk)
User:SovalValtos Hello, https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/5064618.ales-well-as-abingdon-to-brew-beer-again/ This article mentions the take over was completed in 1999 and Greene King themselves say 1999 too. https://www.greeneking.co.uk/our-company/our-history/ Mr Jolly (talk) 10:46, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Mr Jolly Shame the Oxford paper used the ambiguous spelling 'completing' rather than 'completed' but probably still the best source for you to use in all the articles.SovalValtos (talk) 10:58, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/4455558/Bid-win-lifts-Greene-King-profits.html Found another article saying August 1999 for the acquiring of Morlands Mr Jolly (talk) 16:21, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
