Roster[edit]

A large chunk of the Moon Ska roster keeps being deleted - the reason given was that it does not pertain to this particular article. I don't follow that - is the distinction being made something about a difference between Moon Ska Records and Moon Ska World? These two articles used to be separate and were recently merged, which I am not opposed to, but there should be a full artist listing for the Moon Ska umbrella as a whole (unless separate articles are split out again). It's not really clear to me what the differences are between Moon Ska's operations in America, Europe, and elsewhere, but if they are all going to be covered as a single unit (which is probably a good idea) then we'll probably want to either put them all into a single artist list or subdivide them by region. I was unaware that somebody had previously merged the two articles with absolutely no discussion whatsoever. In fact, they didn't merge them at all. They simply took it upon themselves to erase the Moon Ska Records article without transferring any of the actual information to Moon Ska World. This was not an actual merge at all. Additionally, merging them is NOT a good idea as they were two separate labels, as indicated in the articles. Moon Ska World simply licensed the name and a number of the albums. They functioned as two separate businesses otherwise. Therefore, the Moon Ska Records bands do not belong in the Moon Ska World article. The Moon Ska Records article has now been restored. Any future merge should be discussed on the talk pages before doing so. If a merge WERE to occur, the Moon Ska World article should be a section within the Moon Ska Records article and actually incorporated within it. Not vice versa or simply deleted.
