Reviews in Aardschok[edit]

There are three CD reviews of Monumentum published in Aardschok (March 96, p.52; March 00, p.57; and Nov 02, p.63)(www.aardschok.nl). I signed up at their website, but they must not have their archives digitized. I don't know if there's a way you can mention them, or if you care to, but it's a pretty decent publication. Unfortunately they don't seem to have published an entire article on them. If you ever get your hands on them I'll be happy to translate. Drmies (talk) 02:40, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice: This article does not verifiably establish WP:MUSIC[edit]

In my opinion, this article either does not verifiably satisfy the Notability criteria for Music, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it is a Copyright violation.

Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to verify any claims of notability. Even though the lack of reliable sources in an article is not grounds for deletion in itself, an article with absolutely no sources (or only external links to unreliable ones) suggests to some editors that multiple reliable sources may not, in fact, exist.

Although I am considering tagging this article for deletion according to the Deletion policy, I am nonetheless willing to assist User:Blackmetalbaz (talk · contribs), and other recent contributors to this article, to make some constructive improvements to it ... I do not have time to examine this article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

Please respond on this Discussion page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

To better understand why I have used this template, please read Flag templates for deletion warnings ... I realize that some of the expressed possible concerns may not be appropriate in this case. Happy Editing! — 72.75.110.31 (talk · contribs) 04:26, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In response: verifiability is established by the entry on Rockdetector; there are also listings for all the Monumentum albums on Allmusic. Notability is established by multiple albums on notable labels (in this case Misanthropy Records and Tatra, a sub-label of Moonfog; they also have releases on Necropolis and Obscure Plasma), and presence of Roberto Mammarella (founder of the highly notable Avantgarde Music). Another editor mentioned the use of Myspace as a source; this can often be a problem but surely isn't when used to cite the band's influences (their own words!)? The article definitely needs further sourcing from third party sources; I'm going to look for interviews and reviews... bear in mind it was only created yesterday! Kewl ... have fun! I came back and put a little lipstick on this pig (with the {{MySpace}} tags and consolidated refs), and then I lost interest in it, so I'm gonna Move On. :-)
BTW, I removed it from Category:Flagged articles as well. — 72.75.110.31 (talk) 12:21, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
