The interactive map reference is incorrect. The map is pointing to Seekonk, MA in Bristol County, some 125 miles to the southeast. Interestingly, there was a historic village about a mile from this spot known as Monroe Corners. Monroe Corners was a village with a tavern and a school which existed here from the 1700s to the mid 20th century, around the intersection of Fall River Ave (aka US Route 6), School St, and Anthony St in Seekonk, MA It had a school some residences, farmland, (most notably Reed's Dairy) and a tavern. The School still stands but is now the office of the Seekonk Superintendent of Schools, the Tavern Building was dismantled in the 1980s and was moved to Sturbridge Village MA in order to allow for the expansion of the School St Route 6 intersection.

Elevation[edit]

I don't know who put an elevation of 25 feet in the article, but a quick check of google maps shows that elevations in the town range from 1000 feet at the river to over 2800 feet on a couple of hills. I'm removing the elevation listing from the article pending a discussion on what's an appropriate elevation to list BeIsKr (talk) 16:01, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
