The Molly Pitcher Club was founded in 1922 as an organization of women opposed to the prohibition of alcoholic beverages. The group, led by M. Louise Gross, worked for the repeal of prohibition. The national prohibition of alcohol in the U.S. lasted from 1920 until 1933.
