The Rubin decision[edit]

I wanted to correct the following quotation said to come from Lord Collins in the Rubin case:

Lord Collins stated: "although statute law may influence the policy of the common law, it cannot be assumed, simply because there would be a statutory power to make a particular order in the case of domestic insolvency, that a similar power must exist at common law. So far a Cambridge Gas suggests otherwise, the Board is satisfied that it is wrong".

At the outset I assumed that the correct wording would be "So far as", but I can't find this sentence in the BAILII case report at https://www.bailii.org/uk/cases/UKSC/2012/46.html. Has this passage been taken from a different report? - BobKilcoyne (talk) 17:04, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
