Second Life Headquarters[edit]

Sen. Gravel was the first presidential candidate to have an official HQ set up in the virtual world of Second Life. This was a historic first, and should probably be worked in, if possible. Use American English[edit]

Re: Campaign Advisors[edit]

I know that it isn't common to include a section on campaign staff/advisors, but I think that in the light of recent developments (ie: Carl Rove, Harriet Miers, Michael Brown etc.) there is a growing concern over a candidate's ability to choose staffmembers. Some of these advisors are potential cabinet members should the candidate be elected. I am proposing the inclusion of prominent staff/advisors (and a short bio) to all candidates' campaign entries in order to help voters better understand each candidates' ability to judge character. I believe that attention is inordinately focussed on individual candidates, when in fact, the major influence on any new administration will be in the advisors surrounding the new president. Your input would be greatly appreciated. ----Rawkcuf.

Outdated link needs fixing[edit]

Time line of primaries, caucuses and debates[edit]

One thing that strikes me when reading this page is that the timelines are backwards, starting from the most recent, through to the oldest, making it difficult to read to gain an overall idea of the whole campaign. If no one has any objections, I'd like to re order the sections in chronological order to bring it into line with most of the other presidential campaign pages. This is written like an advertisement[edit]

This is not allowed on Wikipedia. Look at the description of Gravel's positions- they are unambiguously supportive of Gravel's positions. They are written as though Gravel wrote them. That would be a little drastic. The Mike Gravel#2008 presidential campaign main article section provides a good template for what this article could cover. This article's "Internet campaign", "Switch to Libertarian Party", "Campaign finances", "Caucuses and primaries", "Opinion polls", and "Endorsements" sections have reasonable contents that can be kept and further developed. It's this article's "Campaign development", "The debates", and "Other campaign activities" sections that are the most problematic. It is important to represent what Gravel was saying, since it was often very different from what all the other Dem candidates were saying, but the weighting and neutrality of these sections are way off. I've gone through and done a lot of crude hacking on this article to get it in somewhat better shape. The discussion is now chronological, the repetitious listing of Gravel's issue points has been cut down and prosefied, and some much-needed balance and perspective has been imported from the main article.
