rewriting[edit]

  1. .There is some basic information needed: date of birth, date of his degree,
  2. The information about his remote ancestors is irrelevant. It might help to know the actual nam,es of his parents, but that is usually as far as we go. We normally do not say someone is a member of a particular ethnic group without positive evidence, which is needed, so I shall have to remove "Jewish origins" if it is not forthcoming.
  3. The information about Atomium Culture is exactly the same as in the Atomium Culture article, and belongs only once in Wikipedia-- and there is the better place for it. Anything more is promotional.
  4. A portrait of him would be useful--multiple pictures of him talking to various dignitaries are less useful. I selected the most relevant and put it in the proper position.
  5. On what basis can be he termed a "scholar"?; the only published work mentioned is a book based on his journalism. I find no books of his at all in WorldCat, and I will need to check further in European catalogs.

I shall check again in a few days. The information in articles on living people must be based on actual sources. DGG ( talk ) 22:50, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request , 18 September 2011[edit]

{{edit semi-protected}} I would suggest the following changes in the leading paragraph

Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini is President of the Permanent Platform of Atomium Culture launched publicly together with the former French President and Honorary President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing on the 27th of November 2009 at the European Parliament[1]

Baracchi Bonvicini was born in London and grew up in Italy. He is an English and Italian citizen. At fifteen he left school and continued his classical studies privately. He graduated in History at the University of Bologna. Please see and insert the following link http://atomiumculture.eu/node/124?phpMyAdmin=fc4d2b4eaet349f365b

At eighteen he left for Kosovo where he reported the war in Kosovo (1999) for the Italian editorial group Quotidiano Nazionale,[2]beginning his activity as a foreign correspondence, which was later to bring him to Albania, Montenegro, Israel, Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran.

{{edit semi-protected}} I agree with the above suggested modifications to improve the text. Therefore, I would suggest the following:

1. To take away "an European journalist and historian" from the leading paragraph and add "launched publicly together with the former French President and Honorary President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing on the 27th of November 2009 at the European Parliament [3]" next to the words Atomium Culture.

2. Under the section "Biography" where citations are needed, next to University of Bologna, I would add a link to http://atomiumculture.eu/node/124?phpMyAdmin=fc4d2b4eaet349f365b and next to Quotidiano Nazionale, add a link to http://qn.quotidiano.net/

3. To improve the section "Reasearch", I suggest to add a link next to Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe[4] and next to Constitution of the United States of America (2004)[5]

4. I suggest to add complete names in the last section "Atomium Culture". Therefore, adding Baracchi before Bonvicini in the first sentence of the paragraph and similarly modifying the last sentence so that it should read: "On 27 November 2009 Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini and Valéry Giscard d’Estaing presented the Permanent Platform for European Excellence of Atomium Culture at the European Parliament in Brussels, as its first annual conference."

5. Moreover, I would prefer to maintain a clean style and take away the tags related to the article.

Done, as best I can interpret the request; if it's wrong, please re-request. Thx.  Chzz  ►  05:50, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In my opinion the page needs some improvements. Below the list of my suggetions:

1. It is clear that, in the first paragraph, the sentence "On 27 November 2009 Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini and Valéry Giscard d’Estaing presented..." is a repetion; so I'd remove the following text:

"Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini is President of the Permanent Platform of Atomium Culture launched publicly together with the former French President and Honorary President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing on the 27th of November 2009 at the European Parliament[1] On 27 November 2009 Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini and Valéry Giscard d’Estaing presented the Permanent Platform for European Excellence of Atomium Culture at the European Parliament in Brussels, as its first annual conference."

and I'd insert:

"Michelangelo Baracchi Bonvicini is President of the Permanent Platform of Atomium Culture launched publicly together with the former French President and Honorary President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing on the 27th of November 2009 at the European Parliament[1]"

(where [1] is http://www.europolitics.info/sectorial-policies/official-launch-of-platform-for-european-excellence-art255918-18.html )

2. In the sections "Biography" and "Atomium Culture" I'd replace "Bonvicini" with "Baracch Bonvicini", the whole last name.

3. I'd add an anchor link to the Wikipidia page of Valery Giscard D'Estain and Atomium Culture in the first paragraph ("...President of the Permanent Platform of Atomium Culture launched publicly together with the former French President and Honorary President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing...")

4. Further I would take away the tags related to the article. I would keep it protected for a little while longer to maintain the suggested clean style. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Liensen (talkcontribs) 15:08, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
