Why? Why this article, and'why' articles such as this?[edit]

Dr. Michael Horodniceanu is simply a (typical) NYC government employee.

This Wikipedia page does/says nothing which can't be found in a typical bio/cv available on a (typical) gov't page.

The information - or, more accurately, the dearth of it, shows why such a page is superfluous.

Though a 'page' in cyberspace is an inexhaustible resource, it doesn't-mean that anyone who's been in a newspaper, or such is deserving, and/or needing of one.

The number of pages like this - people of little, if any consequence - is staggering, and what's even worse - the 'powers that be' here are quick as possible to handle, remove, notice, (what is, in comparison) nonsense, whereas to get a page (such as this) removed seems slower than the retreat of the glaciers of the last ice age.

It's as if by ignorance, and slothfulness, either people will forget its existence, or, they'll just die-off.

It's ridiculous!

There should be a better, faster way to remove a page such as this. There should be some common sense criteria an article should meet, a '10-point checklist' of 'relevancy'. If an article in question doesn't meet it, and either receives a specific number of votes, (or, based on a statistically proportionate number) by a certain (realistic) date, it should be either removed - immediately, or should be (1) reworked, and (2) if it still seems to be questionable, re-voted. And this process can be done - let's say up to 3 times, and after that - if after 3 votes, and 3 rewrites, it still seems 'hinky', it should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by UNOwenNYC (talk • contribs)

Notability is a broad concept. The article should be edited to a concise level but he did get a NY Times obit and that says something about a lot of Wikipedia bios. I vote to keep it. I will address the primary sources problem with the NY times material and others. ENR is a reputable publication.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure[edit]

As a retired public agency employee (Federal Department of Transportation) and "unpaid" Wikipedia editor, I have a conflict of interest in writing about some agency programs such as those of the NYC MTA. I also possess significant knowledge and experience with Federal and MTA agency operations, and I wish to edit responsibly. Therefore, I will follow Wikipedia policies and best practices scrupulously.
