Peppercorn tree[edit]

(the) article says "Pepper Corn tree".

On bbc I heard "corn tree".

Neither of those link.

Nor do:

pepper corn;

Pepper Corn.

On peppercorn, I learned piper negrum, black pepper.

I, yet, haven't learned about corn tree. I do continue to wonder. If you know the anwsers, then please write them.

Thank You.

Untitled[edit]

Should that section on the new rail extension instead be put into its own page, or at least part of the South Morang railway line page regarding the Merdna extension? 110.22.236.11 (talk) 10:33, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Transport Links[edit]

The addition/deletion of Transport Links as is being done for this railway station in Melbourne, Australia, is a major problem as far as I can see. In Sydney, Australia, at least 20 stations have had such information removed by another editor who threatens to have any editor who returns such information, banned. There appear to be different interpretations of WP:NOTGUIDE. Most editors including myself believe that it relates to the banning of full travel guides which correctly should not be part of Wikipedia. A small number of editors interpret it as extending to banning bus route information, etc, from railway station articles and have randomly been deleting the information from some stations. Some arbitration is required as which is the correct interpretation. If the latter interpretation is correct, thousands of railway station records worldwide would need to be amended to comply with such ruling by deleting the information. Hopefully it will not come to that. I have noticed this problem since at least early 2015 when this information was removed from Liverpool railway station.Fleet Lists (talk) 03:15, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The issues aren't exactly the fact there are bus connections that exist, but using Wikipedia as a travel guide by posting links to timetables for every connecting route and their termini. Users should visit the specific transport authority for this information. Any of the articles related to stations on the London underground the routes are only briefly mentioned. We shouldn't have different rules for train stations in other metro's. Ajf773 (talk) 03:54, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
On the other hand Dutch stations like Amsterdam Centraal station contain very comprehensive information about bus services although they do not contain references. If this was to be set as the standard ie no timetable references, then the information for Mernda should be retained but only the references removed. But I am not suggesting this as the compromise at the moment until a greater consensus is obtained. And the other issue I have is that just a single station is selected for having this deleted instead of deleting it from all stations. Fleet Lists (talk) 04:47, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree for consistency that the same should apply across all articles. This article was singled out as the editor Jamisonedd has previously made inappropriate edits. Ajf773 (talk) 05:35, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Mernda Station is open and operating[edit]

I have carried my bike on the Mernda train for six months, so it is no longer under construction. I can't find a record of its actual opening date but a press release from Public Transport Victoria said it was due to open on 26 August 2018.
