Preferred title[edit]
Melnick 34 or BAT99-116? Popularity searches are mixed. When referred to individually, especially in the title of papers, Melnick 34 seems more common by some margin. When referred to as one of a list of stars, BAT99-116 (or just 116 in a list or table of BAT99 designations) is the more common designation. So maybe the current title is best?
